Jill Kohler has been in the employee benefits industry for 30 years. She began her career working for a major insurance carrier while completing her BA degree in Journalism from California State University, Sacramento. Although her intention was to become a writer after graduation, she became a carrier representative for almost 15 years before becoming an employee benefit broker for the next 11 years. As a broker, Jill worked with clients to design and implement comprehensive and cost effective, fully-insured and self-funded benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits for companies with 100 to 35,000 employees). Three and a half years ago, Jill returned to her carrier roots working for Ameritas to build the Northern California region.



When Jill’s not assisting clients and selling insurance, she’s cooking, baking, blogging, or catering, which is her true passion. She and her spouse have Two J’s Gourmet. Together, they’ve catered a few small and large gatherings – luncheons, dinner parties, wedding and baby showers, memorial services, graduations, birthday parties, etc. Her cooking blog is www.jillscooking.com.
