Hi, I’m Heather Carpenter. I’m a career coach and communications consultant who helps people find clarity, tell their story, and take confident next steps in their careers.

I work primarily with early-career professionals and career changers who feel unsure how to position themselves, talk about their experience, or navigate what’s next. My work focuses on helping people clearly articulate their strengths, build confidence, and move forward with intention.

I bring 40 years of experience across financial services, technology, retail, and food and beverage, which gives me a practical, real-world lens. With a background in communications and consulting, I help clients translate what they’ve done into stories that make sense to employers and feel authentic to them.

I run my own practice, Pathway Coaching Space, and also serve as a Career Coach with Community Action Marin, supporting individuals navigating early careers and career transitions.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me playing pickleball, wandering farmers’ markets, or hunting for great estate-sale finds.
